Canterbury CMS progress

September 11, 2008

Greetings everyone
(there are 58 of you who have provided feedback so far; many thanks)

The latest news is that within a day or so, the first six of the proposed twelve "place" sections for the CMS will be added to the www.doc.govt.nz/canterburycms web page. As explained on the web page these are "consultative drafts"; they are uncompleted, slightly rough, works-in-progress on which we welcome your informal comment.

The six "places" are:

2.1 Aoraki/Mount Cook and Arthur's Pass National Parks
2.2 Braided Rivers/Ki Utu Ki Tai
2.3A Te Moutere Ki Whakaraupo
2.4 Coastal Wetlands, their Spits and Barriers
2.5 Conservation and Forest Parks
2.11 Canterbury's Nature and Scientific Reserves

The remaining six "place" sections (see the outlines for these on the web page's "see also" list) and the management objectives chapters (again, see the "see also" list) will be added to the web page during October & November.

Your comments are awaited.......
